Clear about what the platform does — and does not do.
These are website and platform-use terms. They are not the final brokerage-fee agreement and they are not the dealership vehicle-sale contract.
Last updated 3 September 20261. AutoShowroom's platform role
AutoShowroom is designed as a vehicle procurement/brokerage platform. A customer submits a vehicle requirement and the platform privately invites matched dealers to provide offers.
AutoShowroom is not a public inventory classifieds marketplace. The platform is designed to compare the commercial offer before revealing dealer identity.
2. Dealer participation and offers
AutoShowroom is designed to present the customer's requested number of valid offers where sufficient suitable dealers participate. Dealer response, stock, build allocation and market conditions can vary, so a particular number of offers or a particular response time is not guaranteed.
Dealers provide price, stock/build status, availability, delivery/pickup, handover timing, validity and conditions. The platform validates and normalises those details to improve comparison, but dealer-supplied information remains subject to the dealer's final contract and lawful corrections.
3. Offer acceptance and identity release
Before acceptance, the customer does not receive the dealership identity and the dealer does not receive the customer's direct handoff identity.
Accepting an AutoShowroom offer selects the winning offer and authorises the controlled identity release and introduction required to progress the transaction. It does not, by itself, replace any contract the dealership must provide for the sale or supply of the vehicle.
4. The vehicle purchase remains a dealership transaction
In the current operating model, the successful dealership issues the vehicle-sale contract and receives the vehicle purchase deposit/purchase money directly. AutoShowroom does not hold the dealership's vehicle purchase deposit or purchase price.
The dealership remains responsible for obligations that apply to it as the vehicle supplier, including applicable statutory rights, disclosures, warranties and delivery obligations.
5. Finance and trade-in indicators
A customer can indicate that they may have a trade-in or may be interested in finance. Those indicators help route the transaction. They are not a valuation, credit recommendation, finance approval, insurance recommendation or financial advice.
Any finance, insurance, trade-in or valuation service offered in future will require its own disclosures and applicable terms.
6. AutoShowroom fees
These website terms do not themselves create a brokerage or service-fee liability. Any AutoShowroom fee must be governed by separately disclosed commercial terms before it is charged.
Live Stripe service-fee invoicing remains disabled until the operating entity, ABN, GST treatment and fee policy are finalised.
7. Acceptable use
You must not use AutoShowroom to:
- submit deliberately false buyer or vehicle information;
- impersonate another person or dealer;
- interfere with sealed-offer or identity-shielding controls;
- probe, scrape or abuse secure dealer/customer endpoints;
- submit unlawful, harmful or malicious content; or
- use dealer/customer information obtained after a legitimate release for an unrelated unlawful purpose.
8. Availability and changes
We may change, suspend or improve website features as the pre-launch platform moves into commercial operation. We will not use a website change to rewrite an already accepted dealer offer or remove rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
9. Australian consumer and small-business protections
Nothing in these website terms is intended to exclude, restrict or modify a right, guarantee, remedy or protection that cannot lawfully be excluded under Australian law.
Transaction-specific terms should be read together with any rights that apply to the customer, dealer or small business under the Australian Consumer Law and other applicable laws.
10. Questions or complaints
Use the Contact page for general enquiries, dealer enquiries, privacy matters or complaints.
